All-In Poker Rules

 

Question

I played a game of poker last night and it seems that everyone at the table but me knew how All-In's and Calls worked.

Here's my question:

Player A has 100 chips and goes All-In
Player B has >100 chips, say 75 chips and calls.

Player A looses the hand. Does Player B get all 100 chips since Player A called All-In? Or does Player B only double up to 150?

The reason I ask is that it seems to me that on WPT and Celebrity Poker Showdown they go with the smaller stack only doubling up. But, on PartyPoker.com if you go All-In, regardless of your stack, and get called and loose, you are out.

Can you clarify the actual rules for me?

if player A loses...he gets 25 chips back....
player B only doubles up what he has....so 75x2=150

i think you are confused about the partypoker.com thing....
watch more closely next time...it breaks it up correctly....

here is another scenario that might be confusing...ill explain for you...

player A goes all in with 100 chips
player B calls and reraises all in ....calls the 100 and raises 50
player C calls both bets.....
there is a side pot
there is a main pot of 300 chips(player A's all in and the 2 calls)
and a side pot of 100 chips(player B's all in and the 1 call)

if player A ends up having the best hand...he wins the main pot...
between player B and C...whoever has the better hand wins the side pot...

if player B or C has the best overall hand..they win main pot and side pot
